Family pets should not be brought
into the school building. One exception concerns a special brief period
of "show and tell." If a child wishes to show a pet at school, the
parents should first contact the classroom teacher and establish a
proper time for the pet to be shown. The teacher has the right to
refuse this request if it is felt there is a safety concern for the
children.
