Discipline

All discipline by parents or teachers must be in keeping with the principles set forth in Scripture. Parents will be involved with and informed of all major disciplinary actions taken by teachers with their children. Corporal punishment is not used at Bethany.
In the case of violent behavior, the liaison officer may need to be contacted according to the law.
A student's behavior outside of school and off grounds can also result in action being taken by the Board of Education.
Students from other schools who come on the Bethany school grounds are subject to Bethany’s policies and procedures.

Suspension

The Principal has been given the authority by the Board of Education to suspend a student from school. This suspension can be a limited in-school suspension of up to 3 days, an out-of-school suspension for up to 3 days, or an out-of-school suspension with a Board hearing within one week. Parents and the Board of Education will be informed of all suspensions. Parents always have the right to appeal to the Board of Education concerning a suspension.

Expulsion

The Board of Education reserves the right to expel any student from school. The parents, pastor, Board of Education, classroom teachers, and the Principal will be involved in matters of expulsion. Parents always have the right to appeal to the Board of Education concerning an expulsion.
