MLHS Call News
Mr. Martin Plocher has accepted the call extended by the MLHS Federation to teach technical education and science.

MLHS Academic Voucher Program
The MLHS Academic Voucher Program is designed to provide an opportunity for area Lutheran elementary students to accrue tuition assistance for high school at MLHS through participation in the annual Academic Fair. This program will foster increased participation at the Academic Fair and encourage families to select MLHS as their choice for secondary education.

MLHS students excel on ACT test, ranking among the best in the area. Parents and alumni know the value of a Christian education. The faculty at MLHS excels at teaching and retaining students. We need your help to address the financial concerns that prevent students from attending MLHS.

One of the biggest obstacles for new families who are prayerfully considering MLHS for their child is the tuition. This program will distribute vouchers to encourage participation in the Academic Fair to help offset tuition costs.

Names of students who participate in the Academic Fair will be drawn at random to receive a voucher for the face amounts towards tuition at MLHS. Based on donations received each year, the goal id for all students who participate to receive a voucher. Vouchers are not transferable, but are valid for any of the four years that student attends MLHS. Unused vouchers will be redistributed.

How can you help? First of all, please pray for the success of this program. We believe that this program is a "win, win" situation where the Academic Fair will experience increased participation, the enrollment at MLHS will increase, and families will receive financial credit towards their students' tuition. Another way to help is to sponsor a voucher. A gift of $100 would sponsor one student. A gift of $1,000 would sponsor 10 students. These are just examples. All gift amounts will be greatly appreciated!

Remember that Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and many area employers offer matching programs to further increase your gift.

If you would like to sponsor a voucher, or for a brochure with more information, please contact the church office or Scott Reinhard at MLHS.
