Athletic
Philosophy
Athletics
contributes to the basic educational objective of developing the child
spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically. Our philosophy is to
strive to develop Christian students who will use their God-given
talents to the best of their ability and grow to become dedicated,
active, and faithful workers of Christ. It is our intent to develop
each student spiritually by reinforcing the aspects of Christianity
learned in the classroom and having them applied to a spirit of
competition, sportsmanship, and fair play. Understanding the concepts
of sports and sportsmanship will challenge the athletes mentally and
socially by applying those concepts to a team-oriented environment. Our
students, while developing physically, will recognize and understand
the science of human movement and the importance of life-long wellness.
These objectives will help to equip the students for issues they will
face on a daily basis in their futures.
